Default Custom cup holders

Has anyone seen custom cup holders for the X150s? The stock ones are almost useless...

Why do you consider them useless, I've no problems putting cups in them.

I think what you're trying to say is that they are too small, so you need to be a little more specific?

Mine work fine. Not that I USE them much, as having any drink in an XKR asks for spillage.

Also curious what your issues are. Coming from the X100, the X150 cupholder is incredible.

I chucked the cup holder insert on the junk shelf a long time ago. Keep my wallet and phone in that space.

The small one is almost useful for bottles of water, small cans. The larger one seems to be an odd size, lower part not quite big enough for a travel coffee mug and upper too big. I don't need to tote around a 64oz mug, but something considered standard. Guess it is frustrating due to most other vehicles having adjustments for various sizes. Guess I'll take Ranchero50's advice and toss it on the shelf for now. Maybe I can 3D print a better designed replacement. Love the car, if this is the worst annoyance, then I'll just mash the accelerator a little harder each time it bothers me and all will seem better...

Like the ride MarkyUK, very sharp! Would like to hear how the detailing of your car goes, looking to do the same with ceramic coating.

If the cup holders were any more useful you would need to install an urinal.
Change the cups, find ones that fit just right and make those dedicated jaag cups.
If you drink out of the paper disposable cups -you should not, first time that lid comes off and you spill the coffee, your interior is ruined

Eating and drinking in cars is an American thing. Cut them some slack, they are decidedly a British car.

No eating, but yes, a coffee is nice in the morning while sitting in traffic that makes you nauseous. The sad part is the drink container the Jag dealer gave me with the car (and two key chains along with a pen, really went crazy, haha) does not fit either cup holder which keeps me laughing every time I go to grab it. No disposable or cheap lids, learned that many years ago. Never know when you want to drive a little harder than normal.

Ok, so just get some black wool felt and line the interior of the cup holder. It will give you the snug fit.

Thanks Fata

Detailer had the car Mon-Sun and did some good paint correction on it, then polish and sealed it, the end result was good.

Now a quick hose down each week, or a 2lt bottle of water attached to my hydroshot keeps it sparkling

You might try removing the cup holders and taking them in to some store that sells a variety of sizes of travel cups. Find ones that fit, and Bob's your uncle!

Instead of custom cup holders, get custom cups

The only one who uses them is my bride. She has her water in one of those foam insulators and it fits perfectly in the holder. If she's not in the car the console is closed for me to use it as an arm rest.

My girlfriend uses mine quite frequently. I always have to be careful to make sure the cup is gone and the armrest pulled up or my wife would get suspicious.

Ok, I need a score card... ex-wife, wife, next-wife... I’m confused, where are we?
Oh yeah, now I remember, Utah!

This underscores the dichotomy of existence for a Jaguar XK.
In their largest market (USA) half the buyers want more race inspired interiors, and the other half would like more universal cup holders.

Technically, in a Luxury Grand Tourer, one needs a way of evacuating fluids more than carrying them.
Especially since the pit stops here are more like ignominious hook-up sites than the Admiral's Club at airports.

Perhaps my suggestion will make it into the next model.

Really? It's cupholders that underscores the dichotomy of existence for a Jaguar XK?

"So I was really digging the racy interior but when I saw the insufficient cup holders, I went with the Ford focus. I can lay my Big Mac down on this flat spot too."

Is the wood inside the car race inspired too or do we wrap that in to the cupholder dichotomy question?
Too funny Q&C.

Errm, sorry but you are wrong!

24k of X150's sold in the USA since 2006
29k of X150's sold in the UK since 2006

Means that 17% more were sold in the UK, do you just pull figures out of your imagination Q&C or do you just like making informed statements with no basis in fact?
