The CF is dark enough behind the wheel that it does not pop out at all in the XKR-S all black interior much less so then a silver aluminum paddle. There is certainly no plastic like the current shifters anywhere else in my cockpit maybe in the trunk.

Then you have all the exterior CF parts on the XKR-S.

Yes, on the XKR-S with the simulated CF seat trim I see your point. I have aluminum foot pedals and an aluminum foot rest pedal. I think leaving my shifters bushed aluminum or anodizing them gloss black with the foot pedals to match my gloss black trim will look best. My seats and partial door panels are Ivory. Everything has to tie together. We all have aluminum looking trim around all of our interior air vents, steering wheel (center and controls), and doors (controls and lever). Consequently, brushed aluminum is a safe and generic finish choice for everyone.

Isn't there some aluminum trim around the top center air vents? I was hoping the aluminum paddles would somewhat match that.

Yes I still have the aluminum around the vents and it the paddles match, although the vents are smooth and the paddles are the GT brushed aluminum.

DGL- are the interests behind your switches Piano black? Those are the last piano black pieces I'm looking for but parts only shows them available for the XKR-S, and I'm not sure if they are different for those cars.

Are you referring to the 16-way seat switch packs? They are an entire assembly and are less than $150 each. Getting ready to do this to my car.

I can make the paddles as exotic as you want, with pricing to match! My goal is a paddle that matches the factory shape but is more ergonomic and functional, better quality and stunning to look at for a low price compared to the small factory paddles.

No the panel behind the window switches its probably about 5x2 inches. I just want to make sure I have the right part before I order then and the XKR-S is not a different part which I doubt. Just want to make sure as they are 400 bucks for the pair.

I'm also interested in the paddles as I may switch mine out for track days.

Oh, I know what you mean, I thought about it but decided the silver looked better for me, too much piano black, IMHO.

I believe all of the 2014 cars have the piano window switches. Your dealer should not make you take them if they are not right though.

My switch is Piano black the piece behind is not. Its plastic and I hate plastic.

I'm not getting then from the dealer as they want 600 each.

Yes, they are piano black. The "L" shaped trim piece behind the window buttons. I agree $600 is way too much. Holy crap! The $600 must include something else too.

Sure do, they are T2R6547MMU and here is where I got them and get 99% of my jag parts. If you call ask for Greg, he went through hoops to get me the factory XKR Alcantara Steering wheel. They are true british car enthusiasts.

SWITCH-PADDLE GEAR SHIFT - Terrys Jaguar Parts - T2R6547MMU

They also don't BS you with Tax and super high shipping.

Default Carbon Fiber Paddles?

Richzak recently posted photos of his new carbon fiber-look engine cover - see https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...2l-xkr-112687/. Sure, it's not the real thing but it looks great and was very inexpensive. So I thought that the same method - hydrographic printing - might be worth considering as an inexpensive way to change the look of the existing paddles and, I think, be able to retain the illuminated + and -. This doesn't solve the size or plastic/metal issues discussed above, but does enable you change the look.

You can do them (and any other parts) in your choice of various patterns of carbon fiber, metal and other designs. A great way to customize your ride.

See Cool Coatz website: Cool Coatz Hydrographic Coatings Hoschton Georgia Cool Coats Water Transfer Printing Liquid Printing and click on the graphic patterns dropdown box. They even offer a Jaguar skin pattern!

I tried to purchase a brass plate from Terry's Jaguar Parts and went through the order process to the end, only to find the final billing to be as follows:

Part: $6.04
Shipping:$80.00

I don't think so.

Do you have the part number for these? I need to order them as I changed the rest of the interior to piano black this week.

Thank you,
Max
