Default Direct fit aftermarket batteries?

Does anyone know which brands of batteries work as a direct fit aftermarket replacement for my '07 XKR? Advance Auto Parts' online battery search tool comes up with no exact replacements, and I'm thinking of replacing my battery.

Interstate...my Jag mechanic stocks them in his shop.

I would recommend an Absorbent Glass Matt (AGM) battery due to the sensitive nature of the electronics in these cars. They are a more expensive battery but will give you better performance and lifetime. Your Jag deserves it...

And when you don't have to worry about electronic gremlins that others experience with cheap batteries you will thank yourself.

Not sure...the interstate battery you posted a link for is the one that my local Jag tech sells.

The Interstate batteries have a very good reptutation and I have bought several over the years, including ones for my wife's 05 VDP and my son's 05 VDP. They are great batteries.

If I had to buy one for my 2010 XKR (and I probably will sometime in the future) I would buy one from the dealer. I know I can get an AGM battery made for Jag for my car and I would feel much better about that.

I bought a new battery for the 07 XKR I had a year or so ago from the dealer. It was made for Jaguar, AGM, and as I recall was about $265...

Have had several Interstate batteries and I thought was the "gold standard" in batteries.

So this one will fit properly on the XKR, and has all the proper venting slots, etc.?

You can call Interstate's customer service number and verify that. I think it is compatible, but you should verify...

Jaguar dealers (at least mine) fit Interstate Batteries only problem is it's SEALED (but w/vent hose) Maintenance Free with no way to check or add water. It is also Made in CK! About $150.............fits fine. Auto Zone has one with vent caps and Made in USA (I think!)

Cheers, Adrian
