Default Disconnecting seat heaters

Scanned the Forums, no real help..

Seat Heaters are Caput, both of them..

Want to disconnect them to see if this helps my battery drain.....

In Florida so don't need them...

Thank you..

And Merry Christmas!!

I believe the connectors are under the seats in the front. So gotta slide that sucker back as far as it can go and twist into a pretzel on the floor.

One post I saw gave this warning.
”Disconnecting the under-seat connectors can trigger an airbag warning light if done unnecessarily (even if replugged), as the seat wiring is often integrated with the side airbag system.”

Was just one post, so it may or may not be true.

From what I saw…
Heated seats is Fig12.3 and airbags for a coupe is 18.2 in the wiring diagram for the 2008:

Doesn’t show a link between the two. So I’ll defer to the experts around here.

Consider getting a workshop manual - several posted links on other posts. I'd post links for you but you don't have your model year in your signature.

When rebuilting my seats (motor replacements) i missed plugging the heater element back in and I can confirm it will throw an airbag code

DS002 in this example is your seat heater plug. It only has the 4 wires for the heater, so you should be able to disconnect it without triggering any other warnings. This is drivers seat for a random X150, I can double check with your specific model if you tell us what it is.
