Question Do any of the XK convertibles have folding rear seats?

sorry if this is a dumb question. I googled it and looked at the owners manual online and I couldn't get a clear answer.

Don't think so, too much stuff behind the seats, like the RPDs (Rollover Protection Devices) and a bunch of electronics.

No, I wish that the wall would fold down in both the convertible and the coupe, but a lot of the electronics are fastened to that wall. I think it was shortsighted of Jaguar to not offer a folding rear seat. In my post about what you would want added to the XK/XKR were a new model to be introduced, this was one of my top priorities.

The biggest thing behind those seats is the rollover protection. I'm cool with that instead of folding seats!

Happy Trails.......

I guess more of my question is does the structure that supports the electronics and the battery need to be there for some chassis integrity reason. Disregard the pop up roll bars in the convert but look at the possibility of removing that wall and relocating the electronics and battery in the spare tire area. Now if the cross member is a brace of some sort then you can't do to much but if it is there only to support the fuse panel and hold the battery then it could have been removed. Anyone want get your saws all out and cut the panel out.

Ok since you asked, here's what I have on file....

The seat bottoms and backs come out easily enough for a first hand assessment "lookie" of the challenge. sorry meant to add, behind this custom panel is all of the electronics as factory placed.
