Driver seat not adjusting.
Hi
The drivers seat on my 2008 XKR, is not moving when I use the memory setting or when adjusting it with adjustment buttons. This happened once before but after a day it started working again. Passenger seat is working fine. Any ideas where the problem could be?
Thanks!

Everything is bloody battery on these cars
ive had your issue when battery stops being 100% - only ever on one side
If it's not the battery (I've never had the seat stop from a battery myself), it's probably the seat control module. Each seat has one. They can usually be reflashed and operate again, but sometimes they just biff it and need replaced. Either SDD or a Foxwell programmer can reflash.
If you can operate a cell phone without any problem, you should be able to use a Foxwell. I've never used one so I can't give any pointers. A decent auto shop would probably have one, they aren't 'cheap', but also not expensive.
Ask around in the Regional section if anyone near you has either SDD or something else that can program.
Do also check your battery. 12.6 volts after sitting overnight and not running.

Hi have a look at the link below where a similar recent owner had a similar issue with a fix

This's become quite a common problem on this forum. The X150 seats often require a reprogram to sort this issue. It happened on mine multiple times too and not a battery or voltage problem.
I also used the foxwell nt to fix a lean back issue.
My drivers seat did not slide one day. I hooked up the ctek that evening, the following day the seat moved as expected. That battery was on the way out but would still start the car. I replaced the battery with another wet one but only several months later it sits at 12.2 after a night in the garage. I'm going to replace it with an AGM soon, use the wet one in xk8.

not sure about tge 510 i have the 530. One thing I remember though I did mine with car running not off as the device said to.
Driver seat control module can be confused by a low battery. There is a seat recalibration function in SDD that runs the seat all the way forward and up so that the controller knows where the seat is again. That is what I would absolutely do first (after fixing the battery issue).
I am having this issue with my passenger's seat. All of these replies are from last year...is there a newer model of these tools that I should consider over the others? Foxwell NT630 plus or 510 Elite, for example?
