My car has 80K on the clock. I am getting a DSC System Fault and an Engine System Fault light. Yellow/orange and red light simultaneously. Sometimes it reduces the speed to walking pace. If I turn off the engine, the lights disappear and the car moves as usual until it does it again. My dealer hasn't a clue as to what causes this. They say they need to have the car do it so they can diagnose the problem. Needless to say my car does not cooperate. Has anyone experienced this issue or has an idea as to what is wrong?

 

The 2003 is known for problems with the crimps on the battery cables. This sounds as if it could be an electrical problem. It is worth a shot to remove them from the battery and squeeze then tightly closed in a vise. It is also worth having a load test done on your battery before looking for more complex problems.

Also, this is the group for 2006 and later (aluminum chassis) vehicles. One of the moderators may move this to the correct section for the best exposure.
