Dynamic R wheels.
Looking at acquiring a spare set of wheels to fit winter tyres for my 2014 XK Dynamic R. Currently have 20” Vortex wheels which look great but spare sets are hard to come by and tend to be pricey. Does anybody know whether any other 20” XK/XKR wheels fit? I think the discs are larger than standard XKR on the Dynamic R?
No. Any 2010 or newer wheel will fit, 19s or 20s. The older 4.2 liter car wheels have a different offset on the rear due to the E-Differential.
The "larger brakes" are on Portfolio models with six-piston brakes. 18" wheels usually don't fit over Alcon brakes.

Thanks Cee Jay. I believe the brake calipers are XKRS on the Dynamic R…but was thinking of getting another 20 inch set of wheels anyway…so sounds like it should be ok?
No difference in brakes between XKR and -S, so yeah, any 2010+ wheels should work.
For winter tires, and winter driving there are things you can do to improve the traction at a reasonable price.. 1. Reduce the diameter of the mags. 2. Don't use staggered rims. Just regular ones. 3. Keep the overall diameter the same. Your tires could be between 98 to103 on the sidewall. Do you have lots of snow, because these cars can be uncontrollable in the snow?
Fairly sure the XK Dynamic R brakes are exactly the same as the XKR brakes and are not different/larger.
Assuming the XK Dynamic R has the same brakes as the XKR then it has the 380 mm front brakes which means that OEM 19" XK wheels will NOT fit over them. F-Type 19" wheels will fit though, just not XK 19", if you want to stick to XK wheels then you need 20".

All the 5.0 XKR cars had the same brakes except for the GT which had carbon brakes.
The Base XKR in many markets had 19" Tamana wheels as standard. The 20" inch models were options but often selected. The 18" wheels from earlier cars won't fit over these bigger brakes but any of the 20" XK/XKR wheels will be fine. Wheels from other models have the wrong offset at the back so be careful when buying.

All season vs. all weather
"All weather" are tyres that carry 3-peak mountain snowflake (3PMS) symbol and meet a minimum standard for snow traction.
"All season" tyres are simply labeled by the manufacturer as being suitable for any eventuality with absolutely no proof of adequate performance!!!
BUT 3PMS tyres are also often referred to as all-season tyres even by tyre manufacturers. The clue is in the symbol or lack thereof.
Commonly available 3PMS tyres include:
Michelin CrossClimate 2
Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3
Continental AllSeasonContact 2
Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6
Vredestein Quatrac Pro Plus
Three of these are even named All Season but are, in old speak, all weather tyres.
Probably moot here as the OP has summer tyres already, so good winter tyres would be the obvious choice.
255/35-20 and 285/30-20 are fairly commonly available very expensive for anything decent, especially the rears!
