Will factory 2012 wheels work on 2007XKR
I have a 2007 XKR that came with 19" wheels, and want to put the 20" wheels off of the "black out" package. The dealer is saying the offset is different and it would be a bad idea.
I could really use some definitive answers on the viability of using the factory 20's.

I'd actually be surprised if the offsets were different. Rather, that if they were THAT different as to make it so they won't work. The 20" wheels are an option even now so...
I think the biggest thing to check is that the overall rolling diameter is the same. Otherwise you're speedo is going to be off.

That was my feelings as well. However the dealer states they asked their tech support and they feel it "may" be an issue for post 2010wheels boing on a pre '10 car. They have even raised the issue of going from 19'-20's.
I have asked what is different when the car is built? IE is there different ECM software, parameter changes, and the dealer can not provide an answer.

Having bought a 2011 xk convertible fitted with 19" wheels last week I've been looking into upgrading to 20" wheels as well and one thing I can tell you is that while the size difference doesn't matter there is apparently a difference between the wheels fitted to pre- facelift and post- facelift (2010 onwards) xk/r's.
You can, however, supposedly fit later wheels to earlier xk/r's using 20mm wheelspacers, at least according to this site :
Complete set Kasuga 20" incl. Pirelli wintertyres - Jaguar-Shop.com
One thing I haven't been able to find out is whether the wider xkr wheels will go on the xk, but that is of course nothing you have to worry about. :-)

I have a 2007 XKR and it came with factory fitted 20" Senta alloys, which tend to be the type you see on most older XKR's.
So, is the dealer saying that factory fitted 19" alloys are fitted in a different way to the factory fitted 20" alloys or is it that there is something different about the newer 20" wheels?
I ask as I've also been considering a possible wheel upgrade, but haven't approached my dealer yet.

Any 20" OEM wheel that fits on a 10+ XKR will also fit a 10+ XK. However, the Nevis wheel was made exclusively for R models, so it says "supercharged" on the wheels. I don't think any of the other wheels say that.

Got more info from the dealer today. The wheel hubs are different part numbers for the '07-'09 VS the 10+. They can't get a parts breakdown of the length of the wheel studs so I can't tell if is only a stud length difference or not.
Part number for hubs for '07 Front c2c-34624 and rear c2p3406
Part number front 10+ c2d-3285 and rear c2z-2200

I want to go the other direction; I like the Senta wheels that come on the pre-2010, and would like to put a set on my 2010 XKR. I currently have 20" Nevis wheels, and as far as I can tell the specs for the 20" Nevis are exactly the same as the 20" Senta.
8.5 and 9.5 staggered fitment, et49 front and et26 rear offsets, 5 x 108 mm lug fitment. If the specs for wheels are the same, including the lugs, then the wheels should fit going either direction.
It's difficult to find the specs on Jaguar factory wheels.
Edit: so I found the specs for the Nevis wheels, which are offset 49 front and 31 rear. For wheel fitment the general rule of thumb is a range of 10 in offset either way, so in fitting an aftermarket wheel for fronts could go down to 44 or as high as 54, and on rear as low as 26 and as high as 36. Beyond this range and handling would be affected (possibly adversely).
for example, if you put an offset of 26 on where it was 31 before, the wheel would stick out and .2 inches farther than the original - not a big deal.

The XK and the XKR 19 in. and 20 in. wheels are interchangeable. I had a 2007 XK that came with 20" Senta on it and I had the dealer put on 19" Jupiter wheels which came on the XKR. The speedo didn't need calibration as the tire height made up for the rim difference I guess.
However, if you have a 2007-2009 XK/XKR you have to interchange with a 2007-2009 XK/XKR wheel.
In 2010+ the rear wheels have a different offset so they won't interchange with previous models and vice versa, but they are interchangeable with other 2010+ XK/XKR wheels.

Swapping OEM wheels from different model years
Rodney,
I agree that it is difficult, if not impossible, to find detailed specs on OEM XK/XKR wheels. But there is a way to determine if wheels from one MY will fit on another MY.
SB Wheels (UK) specializes in new and refurbished OEM Jaguar wheels. Here's the link to their website: http://www.sbwheels.co.uk/. I suggest emailing them for advice as to whether a wheel from a particular model year XK/XKR (i.e., 2012 XKR) will fit on a different model year (i.e., 2007 XK).
Another useful website is Coventry Wheels. They sell custom aftermarket wheels for Jaguars. Their website includes an Application Guide for XK/XKRs from 1997 to 2010 that includes wheel diameter and width, PCD (pitch circle diameter - 5x108 for the new XK/XKR), center bore (63.4mm) and offset (ET - varies F/R). Here's the link: Jaguar XK Wheels
The sticky in the Wheel and Tire forum FAQ section includes a Wheel and Tire Fitment Guide supplied by JCNA. Here's the link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/w...t-guide-39853/
Hope this helps,
Stuart

Be careful with wheel replacement. Precise measurements need to be made.
FYI- I ordered 20" Coventry Wheels for my 2009 XKR and they did not have proper offsets.
I spent 6 months searching for wheels and found one company that went the extra mile to provide EXACT proper fitment for my 2009 XKR Portfolio Edition w/ 20" wheels.
Ended up with 8.5 x 20" front....10 x 20" rears...perfect fitment.

PM or email with any questions. Ian Pavelko at Fastco.ca is the man to contact and you can have wheels custom fit.
Hope this helps those seeking wheels for their Jaguars.

The 2010 and newer have a different offset then the 2007-2009 models as they have a narrower rear end. I don't remember the specs off the top of my head but I have a thread on here somewhere where we discussed offset of the two models in detail. I ended up with some ADV1 wheels made in the 07-09 offset that ended up sticking out on the rear of my '13.

Yes, the new fronts will fit the same. The new rears will extend 6mm toward the fender and have 6mm less inner clearance because of the 1/2 inch wider wheel. That should be no problem and will give you a slightly wider stance in the rear.
