So, please forgive, just want to understand completely.

I looked at your price list, and for $1395 that includes the supercharger pulley, what will be the horsepower output of my 4.2L (2007) XKR after you have tuned/remapped the ECU?

Also, how long does it take for you to do the actual work?

Thanks in advance

Those are stunning results...congratulations! You had posted previously that you would be able to post dyno results soon. Are you at that stage yet? A before and after done on the same dyno would be useful, and bonus marks if you log air/fuel ratio on the plot also.

I believe I saw somewhere that the XKR-S had a beefed up transmission to handle the additional power over the XKR. Do you, or anyone else, know the nature of that upgrade, or if any other mods would be required to handle the extra power?

I see you now have a system where I'd be able to download your tune myself in Canada. My car is under warranty for just over 3 more years, and I can expect the dealer to update the ECU software over that period of time, thereby losing your tune. Will I be able to re-install your tune as required with what you provide initially, or is that an additional purchase?

I'm seriously considering using your service, and would dyno the car after installation to confirm safe air fuel ratio on my particular car, just as I've done with other cars I've modified for racing. They were tuned to 11.8-12.0:1 from torque peak to redline, and I use 94 octane almost exclusively to add a little more resistance to detonation, and 100 octane on very hot days on the race track to combat high intake air temps. Does that strategy sound reasonable when running your tune under aggressive driving conditions?

Bruce

Until actual dyno numbers are posted before and after upgrades this is all pure conjecture.

See my post under XJ (351) section for dyno sheets and experience with ETG.

It's hard for me (personally) to spend ~$1400 on conjecture. The supercharger pulley is not conjecture in my opinion, but I'd require at least some kind of improvement "guarantee". I'm guessing there's paperwork one has to sign that basically says that if your ECU is damaged or fried they aren't responsible???

No matter what, we always take care of our customers. Take a look at the dyno sheet icarus77 posted in the XJ section.

Can you describe the expected results on an XK with your "4.2/4.4 Economy Tune"

Does the pulley come with ECU for the 4.2 supercharged?

Default Pulley

It's a shame this isn't available for cars with a 2.5-3lb pulley

I promise you it does work and it works fine. The car adjust for the 1Psi difference with ease.
My car has the same flash and the Mina pulley which is 2.5! My dyno sheets are in the other thread here. Just dont go over the 3lbs pulley

What do you say ETG? Any change in policy? Can we do business?

We program the car for 1.5lbs pulley. We do not recommend anything more than that.

According to Mina Gallery, it states on their website that they only supply a 1.5lbs pulley for the 5.0L SC.

Maybe a typo but here is the 5.0L XFR (2.5PSI/LBS) Jaguar XF Performance Supercharger Pulley for Jaguar NEW XKR

And the XKR 5.0L (1.5 PSI/LBS) Jaguar XKR XK8 Performance Supercharger Pulley for Jaguar NEW XKR

Regardless as advertised I am pretty sure that the actual boost increase is 1.65-1.75 measured on either pulley. And by data logs I have made this is what I have seen from stock to aftermarket. Also after ECUTG flash the ECU now doesnt exspell the unwanted extra boost it now sees and uses it. But regardless, if there is a spike in boost during very cold intake temps, etc then the ECU still dumps the extra boost. It in fact seems to bleed it off very smoothly before and after the flash.
I am very happy with my ECUTG flash on my XFR. There still is plenty of power left to be made but ECUTG keeps it all in the safe zone as I have already documented.
Notes: either the 1.5 or 2.5 pulley the gains and effects will remain the same as the ECU will bleed off any unwanted/unused boost pressure.
IF proof is needed I can present logs of before and after if we really want to beat this down.
