Question Electrical Issue - Map Lights, Door Puddle Lights, Glove Box Light

Hello All: Thank you for allowing us to register.

Am wondering if anyone has had this issue. My 2007 XK map lights, door puddle lights and glove box light does not work. I have done the typical trouble shooting starting with the easier to the more difficult. Checked fuses (F12 if I recall correctly is the fuse for this circuit), bulbs and lastly, source power with a multimeter. I will check continuity next, but so far, am not solving the problem. I have not checked the map light bulbs as am not sure how to remove the ceiling cover to check them. I could use advice on that too so I can rule out a bulb issue. Could it be a processer item or relay or something else electrical?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Rick.

Cover just comes straight down, use some levers on either side of the unit.

There is a thread with a member with the same/similar issue: He replaced the unit in the end - not sure if he fixed the puddle lights:

Hi, It's me, I'm the member! It seems the overhead consoles can short out and fry, the solution is to replace it. You can find a used one on ebay pretty cheap. If I understand correctly the map light/glovebox light/ puddle lights are all on one circuit, though my glove box light always worked, so that may negate the theory. My puddle lights never started working, it's because Jaguar changed the term for them halfway through production from Puddle lights to Reflectors. I have not bothered my tech to try and turn on the puddle lights.

Might be worth trying the overhead reset too
