Engine Oil Level Monitor System Fault
OK, I am now officially befuddled.
Three days ago the above message appeared on the dash of my 2013 XK and I cannot figure out why. Also the ability to check the oil level option seems to have disappeared from my dash. I have found several procedures on this site that claim to reset the oil system but nothing works, probably because I cannot bring up the oil level function on the dash. Also, the Check Engine light has NOT com on.
The oil level function worked last week and said the oil was perfect so I am not too worried about the oil actually being low. Is there a fuse that covers the oil level system? If so I have not been able to find it.
Anybody have an idea of where I should be looking?

You shouldn't be looking anywhere. That's trial and error and can cost you more and make things worse. You need a scan tool to properly diagnose your XKR by revealing the stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to find the source of your problem.
Many electrical problems are caused by a weak battery. Do you use a battery maintainer? How old is your battery? Do you need a new one? You're in Raleigh, NC where there are many national chain auto parts stores that can test your battery for free and use their scan tool to read your stored DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). The first step in fixing any electrical problem is to make sure that you have a good battery.

I do have a Scansoft i930 scan tool and used it to clear all stored codes. No help.
I find it odd that using the dash menu the Oil Level function no longer shows up.
The Battery, it appears to be good. I do not use a tender, have never needed one. I have left the car sitting for up to two weeks over my two years of ownership and it always started with no problem. A multimeter shows the voltage to be fine (13.6) even after a week of sitting.
Please keep the thoughts coming.
Thanks,
Paul

Resolved !!!!!!
Seeing as I am getting too old (hard to admit) to jack the car up and then get under it I took the car to an indie shop. I gave them instructions to replace the oil level sensor/monitor. Shortly after they got the car on the lift they found an issue with the sensor wiring harness. They were able to repair the harness and now all is well.
