Default Everything working perfectly now...

No problems.

My attorney saw my car for the first time this past Monday. He drives a Mercedes SL63 AMG.

He was impressed with the car. I told him to go ahead and sit in it and touch it, and that even though he'd be cheating on his AMG it would be ok.

Default A jag is great if all is working on it...

This, '08, is my third Jag. The first one was an XJ6 and it was a horror show. The electricals were ridiculous, the engine leaked every kinds of fluid on a daily basis, it blew a head gasket at 48K, the head was un-removable due to the aluminum head warping into the headbolts (typical).... the worst car I ever owned.

When I got the '05, my wife's reaction was:

"Are you out of your mind? Don't you remember????"

Well, great car, over 3 years of ownership, it did not have a single problem.

On my '08 no problem thus far, after driving it about 1200 miles. The only thing is that my new cell phone pairs up with it but, on the screen it displays some jibberish for the names in my calling list. It must be my phone problem as with the previous phone it displayed fine.

I can see the comparison to the Mercedes. They are dime-a-dozen on the streets while an XK will stop people to look. Last Saturday I had mine parked on one of the main streets of Reno, in front of a casino, and a good number of the people stopped to take a closer look.

Happy motoring,

Albert

You should be able to take him......I think C/D pin the SL63 to 60mph at 4.4 sec and the XKR (4.2L) at 4.5 sec. SL63 1/4 mile at 12.9 and XKR at 13 flat.......1/4 or 1 mile is a better barometer as to how strong the engine is. I know the Viper guys rather race you to a mile as the smaller engines will run out of steam while the V10 will still pull.

Therefore...if the times are right from C/D for the XKR and SL63....you can probably take him as it'll come down to driver. The funny thing is I heard the SL55 is faster than the SL63....plus the SL55 is easier to tune and make faster.
