F-type Door handles

No all you would need to buy is the door handle assemblies. A good hotrod mod shop should be able to cut out your door handles and weld in the new handles and make up the necessary linkage rods to adapt to your linkage. I've seen it done by different fab shops but if you watch some of the shows on the Velocity channel like Chip Foose OVERAHAULING they do this stuff all the time. It's not as simple as I said but not that difficult either even with the aluminum. Of course they would need to repaint the door but that's not a big deal.

The same way you do it using the key fob. Don't know what you would do if the battery failed but I imagine there is a version where you can have a key lock somewhere integrated into the handle.

Here is one of the places that make the handles and how they are installed. Just look at the video. Store - Kindig It Design

Thats a shame to hear about Kindig. It wouldn't be hard to transplant that handle for a good body/fab guy, whats tricky is getting the mechanisms and linkage that are behind the handle to function and fit between existing structures inside the door. Also, if the doors are aluminum like I think they are, you will need to find someone that is experienced and competent with tig welding aluminum and has all the necessary equipment to pull it off. Otherwise that idea of a smoother look will be a bit more warped than you imagined

Cool so maybe in the near future if you have some time and are around his shop you could stop in and ask if they can do it and get a price to share with the form. You never know as maybe someone would want to get this done.

I just don't know how it would interface with Keyless Entry and the Button Locking.

Unless they are real creative you may not be able to get the button on the handle but all you would need to do is press the lock button on your key fob. Just like you can do it today.

While I agree that the "shaved" look of the F-type or Tesla door handles looks nice, I find it uncomfortable to grab a thin little sliver of metal to open a large car door. I rather like a big handle to grab onto, one that I don't have to be so precise with when wrapping my clumsy, thick fingers around. I'll keep mine as is, thank you.
