Failure of touch screen
Power is top center (gray) IP063 - pin 1 is power - 12v, pin 6 is ground. Those are the only two wires in that connector. Black connector is MOST fiber optic of course and blue is GVIF which is the feed from the navigation unit. The brown Fakra connector supports a back up camera. Not sure if the others have been explored.

sorry I know this is an old thread, but I am trying to locate a copy of the ZIP files that have this software to flash the screen from XF to XK. I have tried to download with SDD, although it downloads and verifies and then says complete, it then says download failed and I cannot find the file on the computer. The Files I am after are XK 09MY HLDF.zip, XK 10MY HLDF.zip and the corresponding XF files. All from the same TSB. Are you able to help? I can reprogram the screen with SDD, but I am very nervous doing this without any other back up since there are too many instances of the reprogram failing due to issues over the 2.5 hour reprogram time. In addition I have read that it requires a less than 1Gb data stick to work, is this correct? Many thanks in advance for your help.
Matt.
Hi Sean W,
No, that didn't work for me I'm sorry to say. However, I have resolved the problem by replacing the screen unit with one from an XF Jaguar of the same vintage (I started another thread on the matter 'Replacement Touch Screen'). Despite the part numbers being different I found that the XF screen simply plugged in and played ! (those screens can be bought in the UK on Ebay for well below £100 GBP, whereas XK versions are normally £400 +. The only difference is that the XK version has a couple of metal tags (one each side) to screw the unit to the plastic front surround (not necessary, as the unit is held firmly in position by four machine screws to the substantial subframe assembly). The important thing is to get a unit from the same year car (I believe there were three versions).
