Front clunking noise over bumps
2010 Jaguar XKR with 54K mile and well maintained. Noise overbumps only in front end. Bushings and rubber upper strut mounts, would this be a good fix?

Could be a strut itself. I had clunking coming from the right front, and it drove me nuts until the strut actually pee’d on the garage floor (damping fluid leaked out). Got a pair of new struts, no more clunking! Think that was at about 45k on my 2007.
I guess there's a diagnostic test you can do to rule out the brakes. Go over the bumps that make the clunking, then go over them again holding the brake pedal lightly. If the clunking doesn't happen, then it's brake related.
I had an issue where I had my front brakes replaced and was experiencing clunking. We replaced the struts and it still made the noise. It turns out it was clunking from the brake pads because the person who installed the pad retention clips stretched them out to make installation easier, which ultimately allowed the pads to clunk.

My first thought too. This happened to me on a 1997 T-bird. The disk brake caliper wasn't seated exactly as it was supposed to be.

Bogie1,Mine 2010 XKR went about 100-110,000 miles before the clunking began. New shocks all around fixed that. But, I would check motor and transmission mounts which are more likely the culprits at that low mileage.
Has the car actually been on a lift to inspect
Could be anything as worn bushes and failed ball joints with make clunking noises
Visually Inspect it first before throwing money at the strut

He still lists the XKR shocks:

I bought these XK shocks (different part number than what is specified for my 2007, but they fit, and don't clunk):

Yep, that's where I got mine. Think the seller is in Michigan.

Yes I did. Ride feels a bit ‘spongier’ than before, but I assume that’s because one my originals was not functioning.
I do know that the 4.2L CATS operates as a simple on/off, while the 5.0L cars have a variable damping method. Is it bad to use the ones designed for variable in the on/off model, I dunno. But they were cheap, and original, and no more clunking (and no CATS errors), so good enough for me right now.
