When I turn the car off, I intermittently hear a sound like a pump running. IT's coming from somewhere at the rear of the car. I was wondering if it's a fuel pump problem? Is there a way to access the pump without dismantling the car?
Could it be the Navigation Drive running in the boot? And I think the answer to your second question is no since the pump is in the tank. Some dismantling required.
I have the same issue thing. Its a normal leak check the ECM performs every now and then.
Thought it was my pump but i'm positive it's this guy:
You can read all about the Fuel tank leakage monitoring system in the repair manual, PG 1864. Note this is from MY 2008 manual but i'm assuming the 2010+ have the same system.
You can hear it after you shut the car off, but not every time right? Next time it comes on, turn the car back on (no ignition) and back off. It should go off.

Reason: not an issue
