Gear selector getting stiff
I noticed my gear selector feeling a little stiff going nto R the other day...then all was fine.
Today it was quite difficult moving it up and down, then it was fine. Is there an area that needs lubricated or is the mechanism failing, or ???????

Unfortunately you seem to be in the wrong Forum. If you have an X100 (through model year 2006); you belong in the X100 Forum. This is the X150 Forum which start with Model year 2007 (in the USA). You will have better luck with help from the X100 Forum/
