Geiger counter sound from back seat
Periodically, when driving I will hear a clicking sound from the back seat. It sounds kind of like an old fashioned Geiger Counter. Anybody else had this issue?
This reminds me of when I was in the Air Force. I pilot wrote up after a flight "#2 engine sounds like it's being hit with a hammer"...... the Crew Chief signed it off "Talked to little man inside #2 engine, asked him to stop hitting engine with his hammer".
No help, I know.

+1 on the speaker. Just had this issue on my motorcycle. I kept hearing this crazy clicking sound periodically . Couldn't figure it out until I realized my bass was turned up to +10 and was overdriving one speaker. Bass down, click gone but I'm sure the speaker is on its way out.

I thought that initially but the noise is there even with stereo off.
On my ‘11XKR, I can hear the vacuum motor run the active exhaust damper around 1200rpm, but it’s more of a whirring sound, than a clicking sound, so probably not what you’re hearing. It did take me a while, and a good bit of reading on this forum, to realize what it was.
Totally different tack here....is either the driver or passenger seat positioned far enough back that they touch the front of the rear seats? I noticed an intermediate clicking sound that actually turned out to be just the front passenger seat making occasional contact with the very edge of the rear seat. It sounded similar to the geiger-counter sound you describe. Try scooting both seats forward a tiny amount to see if the sound goes away.
