this is not very imminent for me, but i have been curious for a while if there is any part equivalent to the x150 glove box latch (C2P5451)?

my main irritant about the interior, the major issue, was that I believe the original owner got upset with the door loop breaking, and decided to glue the entire glove box assembly together. A few months ago, the entire glove box assembly started sagging, the plastic broke in some areas, and I removed it.
The whole thing is a catastrophe, I have removed and sanded down a lot of the adhesive remains, improved that a lot, but somehow the latch assembly is entirely missing, everything else is there, maybe he sold it, no clue, got it from second owner who took good care of the car but didn't bother with glove box.

I can reinforce the anchoring screws with a washer/fastener, I can repair the broken loop that made the whole door swing open, and I mostly restored the door leather from the disaster, but I cannot do anything about the latch, and I am not paying the $460 jaguar parts center is asking for it lol, I can buy an entire glove box assembly for much less than that.
I planned to buy an entirely separate glove box assembly, it would still look nicer than the repaired remains of the previous glove box, but the couple sellers I have asked have either flaked, first one agreed on a price and then started asking more, or the most recent one (which I hope works out) have been going back and forth for a couple months now because his totaled car is in storage somewhere else, long story, he says he will get to it, but it may not work.

I would like a second option if I cannot find a box anytime soon, but finding the latch alone seems to be impossible. if another option exists, I would appreciate it, thanks.
