It has been a beautiful spring day in Western North Carolina. Took the Cat out for a little run across The Cherohala Skyway. Wasn't quite warm enough at 5,000 feet to have the top off but didn't mind. Absolute no traffic (too early for tourist) so was able to run at my own pace. Only saw about a dozen bikes, half on the side of the road, the rest coming at me.

Great to be retired and able to do this in the middle of the week.

 

Even in early spring, when the trees are not yet leafed out, the parkway is stunning! It only gets better as the year moves along. Yes, the best time to hit the twists is weekdays when the weekenders are still at work!

 

Good to be reminded of what blue sky and sunshine looks like.

I must have flown over you. I went from Atlanta to Lynchburg VA that day. It was gorgeous.
