When I take a right or left hand turn at slow speeds (not that I am doing very many sharp turns when going fast) there is a grinding and/or popping noise pretty harshly. It seems worse and more audible on the drivers side. It almost feels like the tire is skipping on the road after the pops. I am going to get a video of this tomorrow because I feel it gets priority. I am attaching the picture of the front suspension so someone could indicate which parts, #1-21 -- could possibly be in the equation to influence steering. For example, #19, the sway bar itself, likely wouldn't be a culprit. Whereas #16 (bearing, not the hub) would be a much more likely suspect.
The steering wheel has 1-2° of loose play. I can also feel some of the uneven bumps or humps in the road pretty clearly through the steering wheel. As if some metal is clanking around and hitting the steering column while driving. Just really feels like something is loose down in the suspension, and of course, something is loose in the steering as well.
Maybe these are all related, probably not, but its some of the last problems on a long list of things that've been tackled and it's been an awesome run expanding my knowledge on this platform. Thank you for the tidbits!
Your 2007 XKR is 18 years old. If the front and rear suspension is original, all the rubber bushings have dried out and need to be replaced regardless of mileage. This is a good deal on eBay, and is what I used. It's a fraction of the cost from a Jaguar dealer.
I would suggest changing one or both of the front bearings if a mechanic agrees. Probably just one side. Then he can check for worn suspension parts. You need a wheel alignment, and to get there, the technician will look for worn suspension parts.

100% I need a wheel alignment. Didn't know if that would cause something like this, but will get that done.
And Stuart, that is a crazy nice. I did not know a little kit like that was available. Thank you!
As strange as it sounds, the feeling of something clunking around enough to feel it through the steering wheel - goes away if I am braking while going over the bumps/uneven road. As if something is tightening itself down enough to feel optimal. I say this assuming it couldn't possibly be anything with the rotor/breaks/caliper
