Default Happy New owner of an 07 XK Coupe

New to me, I'll take delivery in a couple of weeks as the holidays will slow it down. Bought my 07 XK Base with Luxury Option. Low miles. I wish they were lower still, but I have a price point I couldn't steer from.

Pics will follow delivery. For now I have to settle for the thumbnail.

The car has been serviced at the same Jag dealership since 08. I got a full service history, which is a deal maker for me. I was actually planning on taking the winter but I found this almost immediately so I asked myself "why wait?" So then I asked my wife the same question to which she replied, "Leave me out of this. You're going to do what you want anyway." God I love her.

The dealer has a great rep and I'll share it once the transport truck pulls up to my door. The model is Black on Black.

The paint's not perfect and I'll likely want to respray the bumper covers, but I've yet to see a black car that doesn't require that from time to time anyway.

The interior is clean. The vehicle currently needs nothing (except perhaps a bumper respray) per the dealer, but I'll do a trans fluid change and differential fluid change when I get it.

So I've now officially moved over from the X350 forum and you're all stuck with me for awhile.

Thanks again to all who gave your input on my previous post. You helped arm me with the information I felt I needed to buy with confidence.

Congrat's on your lovely '07. I would suggest you also do a brake fluid flush.

Welcome, you're gonna love it. Had my '07 for just over a year now, and it puts a big smile on my face, every time I see it, even if I'm not going to drive it that day, and a big toothy smile when I do decide to take her out.

Congrats on your new ride! At least you hopefully purchased your XK at the lower end of the depreciation scale for a car that essentially looks the same as a 2015!

Thanks guys. I'm confident I got a great deal from a reputable Jag dealership, so yes I think I made a quality purchase.

Brakes were flushed in October as well as a 4 wheel alignment. Wheels were refinished and trued up, side markers replaced.

Rear sway bar links, stabilizer bar links and toe links replaced 18 months ago and headlights were de-clouded.

A/C Condenser replaced in 2013 so the system was evacuated and refreshed.

I'll get her up on the lift and do a trans fluid change and probably change the differential oil as well, but may wait until spring. I'll check the brake pads and if they're organic, I replace with ceramic.

I'll back flush the cooling system in the spring and may replace the steering fluid too.

I am jazzed. So far no snow up here and no salt on the road, I may get to drive it once it gets here. Fingers crossed.

Sean:
You will love this car - my 07 has been 100% trouble-free and a delight to own and drive. But the power (even of the "base" 4.2) is intoxicating so watch your speed! (I am giving this caveat from experience). Drive safely - and DO get a CTEK battery maintainer. If you EVER have any electronic issues (and I mean ANY: warninglights, seats, windows or doorlocks that do not function properly, touch screen malfunction, anything), suspect the battery voltage first - it is almost always the culprit.
