If you were important enough to have a forged sword you didn't go to the left or right, you went down the center.
Let the others get out of your way however they please.

And we in the second estate, even us lefties, just killed uppity people in the third estate.

(seriously, I will never drive in England. To this day, every left turn gives me a heart attack.)
It's Miles per Gallon. Miles per Litre means nothing to most UK drivers.

I can understand your trepidation about driving in England but it not the side of the road that's the problem. I've driven more than 250K miles in Continental Europe, driving on the right in various RHD cars. I had a LHD courtesy car last year in Spain whilst my XK was at a Spanish Jaguar Dealer for repair. Absolutely terrifying. What idiot thought of putting the steering wheel and pedals on the passenger side!

I may be in Coventry for work (I'm an employee of one of JLR's suppliers) this summer. Is it that hard to adjust to a standard transmission when switching what side drive car you're used to (American so lhd -> rhd)?

I've driven plenty of lhd standard transmissions, plenty of different motorcycle transmissions (even suicide shifters) so I'm just curious. I think it'd be a bit of fun in a rental as here you really can't get manual rentals.

Turn on the closed captions to see what the software thought he said, for another laugh.

They have made it easier by keeping the pedals in the same order👍

Could be confusing if if they reversed the order😀

Is the saying "being sent to Coventry" familiar in the USA? They could be trying to tell you something you don't want to hear.

It isn't hard to adjust to a manual transmission on the opposite side. I've driven many LHD hire cars in my travels over the years.

Thank you All,
For the most entertaining thread I've read in the longest time!

My mother is from London, My father from Torino, and I have a history that takes me all over the damn place. I am compassionate and supportive in all stated above... which explains much about me and apparently many of you.

Cheers!
