Ok so these are the offending parts. Nearside (left) is stuck slightly out, but otherwise okay - it is not blocked and it moves out and springs back. Offside (right) was stuck solid; I’ve managed to get it moving but it’s blocked and I can’t blow through it.
I managed to remove the end jets but cannot work out how to dismantle any further to clean effectively.
Since they only operate every fourth cycle, it'd be more likely that either the relay that opens the line or that which activates the relay is faulty.
My Manuel is saying: Every fourth cycle but only after 10 minutes since previously operating.
I've just been MOTed. To allow the 10 minutes reset I was careful not to use the washer on the way to the test.
I'd not seen the HL washer working before, it's probably not noticeable from inside the car whilst the windscreen washer is operating. I was pleased to see a vigorous spray.
(MOT passed, with one advisory a number plate bulb. 😀

I also got an MOT last week and I am sure they were not tested, nor do I think mine work. It's a bit inconsistent isn't it .

The washer would need to be operated up to four times to properly test headlight washer operation, to make sure the count was reached. A quick glance at the headlights after operating the windscreen washer would show either wet or dry.
My understanding is that the Headlamps/headlights must be ON for the washer to work. I see the overspray from the headlamps when using the windscreen wash function at night, but not during the day.
