can you fit a new headlight washer motor without taking out the headlight? Secondly, what is the container In the back of the front fender Behind the inner guard; I can’t find any reference to this anywhere. We don’t have a driver’s handbook.

The headlights are super-easy to remove, so who cares if it comes out?

 

The motor is not on the headlight...the washer jet is and yes the headlight must come out to change the jet. It’s super easy as CeeJay said.

If you have a motor issue it is located in the right side wheel arch. FYI one motors supplies both jets simultaneously.

 

Your profile says you have a 1998 XK. You would want the X100 forum. This is the later model X150 group so not sure if the above replies are applicable
