Default Help Identifying Leak

Help, please. I was changing my oil, and noticed what appears to be a leak coming from above the oil pan seal. I believe its on both sides, but not having a lift, couldn't really tell much. I took what photos I could and have them attached for your viewing. I cleaned a short length of the edge where the pan is bolted to the engine near the oil filter, so please don't read anything into that.

Any ideas? I'm planning on taking it to my local dealer next week, but want to get an idea of what it might be. My warranty's running out in 2 weeks, so if they don't fix it the first time around, I may have to eventually pay for it.

Its a 2007 XKR with about 10,500 miles on it.

Many thanks, all.

Anyone want to hazard a guess, please? What might be the likely suspects for this?

Thanks, all.

Looks like oil pan gasket, but I am no mechanic.

Thanks for the feedback. I believe its coming down from somewhere above the pan gasket, unfortunately. Can't see it too well, but on the 4th and somewhat on the 3rd shot, I can see the buildup on the side of the bedplate, which is above the pan/sump.

Thanks again.

I had the same problem, it was a bad seal on the oil filter that was not tightened proberly.

Renew filter- problem solved
