Default Help needed - Rain water in footwells

Wet carpet on drivers side only happens when it RAINS.

So it is definately not a/c as car is rhd and drain is on the other side.

I can see it dripping through the lower steering column, but what puzzles me is how it gets there with the hood shut and the car not moving.

Any ideas you guys ?

On the "Wheeler Dealer" Velocity Channel show they isolated a rain leak by filling the closed-up car with non-toxic smoke. The smoke leaks out where the rain leaks in - at least that is the theory. Check around with dealers and high-end body shops who may have this equipment.
