Default Holly Molly. Never seen this before ! Tune on a 5.0 xkr 😁🤣

The guy came in this morning wanring a tune on his 5.0 XKR. He had a lower pulley put on otherwise car is stock.
So So as usual I run some logs and make sure the car runs okay. To my surprise the car was ridiculously slow and appeared as was putting out half the horsepower, No check engine lights at all. So I started peeking around
Do you guys see what's missing in this picture?
😆😂🤣🤣🤣 Hard to believe

That's crazy. So for him, he will get boost he didn't have and a tune. Butt dyno will be off the charts 😂.

Only a zombie wouldn't notice the lack of power. How else can you explain it? Even the walking dead want to go for a joy ride.

Stuart - Galus is an old common name for suspenders. I guess knowing that makes me an old man.

Not to worry, Ralph. A man is only as old as she feels! You know the definition of insecurity? It's a man who wears suspenders and a belt.

Just know that the first thing to go is your vision because you can't see what you're saying. Take another look at your Post #4, above and see if you can spot your spelling error. That's what puzzled me.

There's a big difference between a galus and a callus. I suspect that you're a victim of spellcheck and autocorrect and didn't notice it. I just typed galuses and it got changed to galoshes.

Never trust a computer. Always verify.

Agree! It is what is, thats why the amusement 😁
When I drove it, could definitely feel that something was wrong. Surprising that not a single cel light went off.
when I initially checked logs ,I noticed a negative boost , I thought that it's possible that the car is a rebaged xk

So if your SC stops working it won't throw up any lights...actually more accurately the belt breaks and the car drives fine...just with the power of an NA...or less?

So he went to another shop for a new lower pulley and they didn't replace the belt...that's nice of them

An observation, if he's used to no SC it'll scare the bejesus out of him with a working SC AND one of your tunes!

Should be noticeably less power than the NA. If i am not mistaken the NA's have higher compression which is what contributes towards the healthy HP. Forced induction cars will have lower compression to allow for the boost, which will over-compensate for the lower compression and make the extra power.

I had my supercharger belt off once and noticed it just backing out of the garage onto the driveway. I cant imagine driving like this for weeks/months. It will definitely be a "new" ride for the owner once its running right. Poor guy
