I wish the chrome surround wasn't so large on the Mina's. I wish the openings were larger on the stock ones too. I really don't care if it says supercharged versus actually extract heat.
I'm curious the logic of the big supercharged logo in the vent. Tberg has a similar x100 XKR to mine and the factory hood vents are both slotted with no backing that let lots of stuff through. Other than bleached looking plastic on some under good stuff, it's a ok. No logos.
I understand the smaller holes so less and only smaller crap could get through, but why make a hole just to eat up a decent part of it with a logo indicating the forced induction in an insert meant for heat extraction. I think the only supercharged text on the x100 was in small font on the front bumper badge. Although that car has some not exactly to my taste design choices too (I'm looking at you US market chrome door handles...).
Anyway, I like those vents on the silver cars. The chrome looks just right to me and they look hot overall. I think on my black car I'd like that brushed aluminum that the window and trunk plinth trim is. The quality on those Minas and Jaguar Optional Accessories vents looks really good.
I will have to look again at the underside of the vents, but I think the panel that says supercharged is not fixed permanently to the vents. I will check tomorrow and provide more photos for Dave.

No rush on the pics, I am just curious as I haven't seen any of the Mina's from the underside before.
In Talking with Chris he told me he can do anything with that strake, eliminate it, position it where ever, do custom lettering of your choice there etc, all sorts of fun stuff.
Oh, Oh, I will be happy to get pics of the Jag Access Vent version if needed. :-)
Here are two pics from the underside. Note that there are separate screws attaching the "supercharged" plate to the vent. They also help anchor the vent to the bonnet.<img src="https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jaguarforums.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/20180820_141811_405b8bd079398066b25b895c40f86503dc 83fe18.jpg"/>
Hi Ralph,
Chris put those brackets on the set I got from him as well, he epoxied the screws to the underside. They broke off in the first hour of driving and my driver's side vent flew off to the side of the road. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve it, and I've since glued the vents to the space with GOOP Automotive Adhesive, and they seem to be sticking, so far. The only problem is that the opening on the driver's side is slighlty off and the vent does not fit flush like on the passenger side. I noticed this last year, as well, when I had those carbon fibre vents on for less than 5 mnutes as it flew off within one block of my house. So one corner at the top closest to the windshield does not fit flush and has a little gap of air. This worries me as I suspect the lift may eventually widen and tear the vent off again. I am probably going to glue a picture hanger hook to that corner's underside and then wire it around the center brace. And by the way, the Pantera is coming home this Friday. I'll give you a call, and you can take it out for a spin.
I still prefer the design of the OEM vent with its more complex angles over the optional OEM chrome strake and Mina vents.
ZZzzzzzz.... :-) Just kidding, I get what you are saying, just wish the originals were a bit more substantial. I don't know if you have ever had them side by side with the Optional version, but the difference in quality, design and materials is on a whole other league.
Here are a couple of under side pics of the Optional Factory Vents.
