Anyone ever try installing the newer style hood vents (2007 onwards) from a XKR onto a XK8? I like those better than the shark fin type on the original XKR. I don't know if they will fit as the shape looks a little different.

 

The shape is different...but Adamesh makes a set that copy the style.

I like the look of them.

Of course since you have an XK8 and if you are prepared to cut the hood anyway, you could probably use later XKR vents and cut the appropriate shape.

 

I did it on my track car as I wanted something a little different and also the fact they are a 1/4 of the price of the MK1 XKR vents
