Asking for a friend . Cambo how did you manage to disable the predestrian air bag system . A friend who has the xk asked

 

It trying to jump in front of Cambo but it is an option in SDD under CCF for fitted not fitted so perhaps it is that simple.

 

Thing is though, if the pedestrian system is mandated by local authority, anyone who disables it would be in big doo-doo if ever caught.

 

Not likely to pass MOT either.

If in the UK/EU, they'd be uninsured.

It'll be illegal, of course.

Worst case car hits someone, death of pedestrian and/or the cost of their medical care etc bankrupts the driver plus they go to jail.

 

Much as I dislike the PPS and also having had problems with it on my 2007 XK, it is MANDATORY in the UK and the rest of Europe. For all the reasons given above, we will not be discussing or in any way encouraging bypassing or disabling it.
