I bought my last 2 Jaguars out of State and never saw them in person before purchase. The one I have now was from Jaguar Palm Beach. I got a full history, Hi def pics of every nick inside and out. They gave it a CPO inspection and the dealer was up front that he wanted it off the lot. I had zero surprises.

My previous one was purchased from a small dealer in North Carolina. It also had a full history minus time it spent in Nebraska. I called the dealer there and they sent me the records too. The car had 80 HD pics, including the underside and two videos. I had it inspected at a nearby Jag dealership. They gave it a CPO inspection as well. I then spoke to the mechanic who did the inspection and asked him to drive it too. No surprises there either.

point is, you're likely to get more effort from a dealer than a private party. No private party wants to do that and I don't blame them. Find a dealer you do trust. It's worth the wait.

Here's my last Jaguar:

I bought my XKR out of state as well. I got a PPI from an independent mechanic there who specialized in exotic cars. It was $150 for the PPI if I remember correctly. He took pictures and gave me a breakdown of what needed immediate attention and what things to keep an eye on. All of this was done remotely. I originally contacted the local JLR dealer to do the PPI, but they were booked solid for the next few weeks, which is why I went with the indie.

After I was satisfied that I was getting a good car, I flew out there and drove the car back 1200 miles. It also helped that the used car dealer I bought the car from had great reviews and was in constant communication the whole time. It took me 2 months to find the right car, but I wasn't too picky about color. The only things I wanted were a convertible and the 5.0 engine.

Default Get The Price U Want

To get a price you want...vigorously search the internet. Go on sites like Carvana etc...and find the same car with closely the same mileage and ask the dealer to meet or beat the lower price. If they won't just walk away. I got my 2011 XK for around 4k lower than the dealer was asking for by doing so.
