How to remove front tow eye cap
I'll apologize in advance for asking this, but I've "searched" unsuccessfully for some time and I'm admitting defeat. What is the proper/safest way of removing the front tow eye cap without damaging anything. I've seen a post previously but I appear to be totally incompetent in relocating it. It would appear my computer skill level is barely one step above Morse code! Thanks in advance for guidance.

GGG, I did manage to find the "sticky" for the owner's manual and after reading the entire thing page by page the "push in on the top" instructions left something to be desired so I was hoping that some "hands on" attempts to successfully remove the eye bolt cap would help. The sticky has been a tremendous aid by the way.
Guy, I did find a place in London that does sell the entire manual package and I intend to order at a later date. Since I'm having my car flatbed towed next week, however, I need to get the tow eye in place prior to putting the car on the flatbed. C'est la vie!

When I mounted my front plate via the tow hook mount, I followed the steps above, although hesitantly, as I sure didn’t want to break it.

By the way, how does that license plate bracket work for you? I looked at those and compared them to the SHO N STO version.
Works fine. I don’t mind the off center look. I thought about the SHO N STO type, but that would reduce my front end clearance too much. Plus, with the tow hook mount I’ve put no holes in the car.
With no small amount of trepidation I followed the "press on the top" instructions explaining how to remove the cap covering the front tow eye location. I tried pushing gently at first and the cap did move inward but did not release. Then gradually increasing the pressure while grimacing, the cap suddenly released and with the help from a popsicle stick I was able to pry the bottom of the cap loose exposing the small lanyard securing the cap. It is amazing how such small victories improve your attitude. Eureka moment for sure!! Thanks again for the assistance.
