Default I made a deal on a 2012 XKR!

I've loved my 2008 XK so much that we decided to upgrade with a newer XKR!!! We put a deposit down on a convertible 2012 Azurite Blue XKR with 17k miles on it and got it for a great price based on the price and availability of what we've been looking for. I'm so excited to have all those extra horses in the same beautiful (upgraded) package! I just couldn't find another car with a similar bang for the buck, performance, beauty, and price!

I've never seen another azurite blue before but its so close to black it might have not registered. I'm hoping to take delivery next week and will post some pics. Also I have a 2008 xk for sale now!!

Congrats! You sure will not miss the old N/A 4.2 once you get used to the S/C 5.0, that's for sure.

Congratulations. The 5.0L R engine with paddles is just downright addictive. I'm surprised it's still legal. Enjoy!

Warm Charcoal Interior. Also, thanks again for the back-and-forth on what cars to consider. I feel a little crazy spending an extra $25K for another car that, to the common eye, looks almost exactly the same as my current car, but my jag is really my favorite car ever and this seemed the only real upgrade path. I just wish I could get it today and didn't have to have it shipped!

I post pics when I have it "in hand".

Not crazy at all!!! The XKR is a bad ride. I was looking at pictures of an XKR-S the other day and it caught the Wife's eye also. Owned my '12 XK for all of 4 months and I was tempted to go out and buy one.

Congrats on your new ride. I too have Azurite Blue. However my interior is cream - a nice contrast. Warm Charcoal is probably the better choice for hiding dirt and marks.

Get it professionally detailed. The Azurite Blue really pops in the sunlight.

On the Lotus forum there's a thread we a few thought the XK was Ian Callum's best design of that style car (over DB and Vantage). XK is a timeless look that is aging well. Not crazy to get the perfect example.

Congratulations. I did essentially the same thing a few years ago and have not looked back since then. I thin k the 2010+ 5.0 litre is much improved vehicle. Enjoy!!!
