Default Interior difference , any ?

Is there a difference in the interior of a 2010 , 2011 , 2012 and 2013 XKR convertible. As mentioned I am looking for a 2012 but I am expecting to review and drive a 2011 with 9,000 miles on it. I might be interested if the price is right but it will be disappointing if I can't find a similar 2012. So before my drive I was curious to know if there were any interior changes.

Not sure if it qualifies as an interior feature but, I think, the 2012+ models came with rear-view cameras that display on the touch screen.

Yep got that as it is one of the changes that I would like. The other change is the headlights/LED's. If I could get an integrated back up camera in a 2011 I might consider that . Thanks

Having had the reverse camera in both XF's, I put it down as a "must have" for the XK. But I bought it sight unseen and it ended up not having one. I dont miss it at all. The vision out of the back is surprisingly good, and because the boot is low you can see everything you need to, unlike the XF which has a high boot and very poor rear vision. So while it would have been nice, it shouldnt be a deal breaker.

Just a thought....you may want to use this 2011 XKR Convert as a comparison to what you may be test driving.

All MY2010+ cars have LED rear lights; the MY2012+ ones have the revised headlamp shape and LED running lights. Rear camera wasn't an option until MY12.

I back my XKR-S into my garage. My XF goes in front first, gives me more room between the cars to open the doors. Without a backup camera this would be really difficult. The "azz" of the XK is so wide, I have to use all mirrors and the camera to get it in just right and certainly the wing on the XKR-S in the back is not helping.

HOWEVER, in a convertible this may or may not be that helpful all together. There are times in my coupe were the display is just not bright enough to be seen clearly. The display in my XF has far more brilliance. I have the display in the XK turned all the way up but it is not as bright and depending on the sun in a vert might be useless. Just a thought. Test it when you test drive, in all directions to see how the sun affects it.
