Default iPhone cable connector doesn't stay in phone!

I think I have the stock iPhone cable connector and and it keeps coming loose while driving (it is a loose fit that doen'st click into phone - not to mention doesn't charge...I know about the Scosche adapter). Are there any other connectors I can use besides the Jaguar one that actually connects securely to the phone (charging is a bonus!). I have an 09 Portfolio Edition.

Thx

I think you'll need to get the Jag one to avoid this problem. It is a different type that lets you control song selection from the steering wheel dial. It 'clicks' in and locks in place. There's a Jag dealership on here that offers the kit at a great price (Nalley?) and my local Jag dealer installed it for $120, did a nice job as well. Theres an additional RCA input and USB in the glovebox.

If your 2009 XKR Portfolio is still under the original factory warranty, see if your dealer will replace the iPod cable under warranty. Although the Owner's Manual says that the iPod connector will charge your iPod, it doesn't charge my iPod Nano 5th Generation. Maybe charging depends on the iPod model. I bought an inexpensive charger that plugs into my cigarette lighter that works fine.

Thx for the replies...well I figured out the problem...user error! I tried plugging in my wife's iPhone the other day and it clicked. I realized that her case is slightly slimmer than mine. So now I just have to give it a little extra push (I mean loving care) when I connect it. Still doesn't charge, but I have an extra AC charger if I ever have the need.
