iPod

Hi guys,
I have an 09 XKR with an iPod hookup. Problem is it doesn't charge while playing. What do I need to buy so that it will charge.

If you are using the cable that came with the car, try out the ipod/iphone charger. See if that helps.

If not, you may need a software reflash.

I had a similar problem with an iPod Nano (circa 2012 model, the square one) and my 2012 XKR-S. I bought a pass-through adapter (i.e. 30-pin to 30-pin) and now it charges as it plays... and I can just leave it connected to the car all the time.

No guarantee it'll work for you, but it's $23:

If you have an older iPod (not one with the new connector), you're in luck and can get it to charge and play simultaneously at a reasonable cost. The least expensive alternative is the Scosche adapter, which is what I've been using for almost year without any problems. Or, you can buy the more expensive new Jaguar connector part # C2P21008 as discussed in the above thread.
