Angry Jag dealership...Akebono Pad Help Please!!!

Went to Jag today for all new rotors around and for them to install my aftermarket akebono front pads as I already have the ake rears on. Long story short they said the front akebono pads did not fit....ugh I'm pissed as I've read that the EUR938 fit but apparently they don't. Anyways, I had to settle for their crappy front dusty pads for the the time being as I needed new fronts in a bad way. Does anyone know with 100% certainty what the correct part # for akebono front pads?? I hate to have diff front and rear pads. Lastly, what a joke the prices at the jag dealership are. For front pads, all 4 rotors plus labor and tax it cost like $1300. Did I get totally ripped or is that around the price norm at the jag dealership for the stuff I had done? Thanks

At that price, it appears that you replaced all 4 rotors. But you can be sure they'll be quiet, smooth, and stop well.

If you think that's expensive, be glad you don't have Alcon brakes.

I'm almost certain that Akenbono does not make a pad for the front of your or my car. Only the rears. I called Akebono and spoke to one of their reps and was told that many retailers were stocking akebonos claiming they would fit the fronts of the 2007-2009XKR and 2010 Xk which use the same part number. However it is incorrect. I installed Centric Posi Quiet in my fronts with Akebono in the rears. No complaints , no dust, and stops great. I could not deal with the OEM pads for another day.......they were filthy and made a ton of creaking noise. Good luck.

EUR1241

Using them on my 2009 XK. They are great pads and I rarely have to clean the front wheels vs. weekly before.

I believe the XKR uses a slightly larger pad. The early XKR (07-09) and the 2010XK+ use the same front pad. All the XKs use the same rear pad.

I agree, they do not make a pad!!! I did same thing and just used good ceramic pads - no dust, great performance, no noise. Did it all myself with no problems and only ebay cost of the pads!!!
