Hello Everyone:

A performance alert came up today on the instrument panel. Was during a performance driving course. Unfortunately, being focused on an uphill banked turn at speed, I was a bit busy focusing on the driving and did not see the second word under the word 'Performance'. Am looking the net over, youtube etc looking to find what this alert was about. The car was a bit limpy as the throttle was boggy when I then took a glance at the instrument cluster. Pulled off the track, stopped, shut the engine down and restarted the car. No issues and continued our merry way.
Regardless, I would like to know if anyone knows what that alert was about.

Hello Again:

I found it. This is what I saw.

 

AKA limp mode, all cars have this message when something goes wrong, anything basically. Need an OBD II scan tool to get the specific codes which'll provide you with some guidance as to where to begin diagnosis.

The only two times I got that was once when the intake boot tore and the other was when a high pressure injector failed open.
