Default Jaguar Performance Driving Academy...

....or whatever it was/is called. Offered through Jaguar.
Is that still a thing? I would love to have some track time with people who really know what they're doing.

They are now offering a polar experience. I took the first two of three courses at Sonoma three years ago. I found the experience to be very worthwhile. You might want to check their website

I grew up and learned to drive on ice like that. It's called "Northern Minnesota", and I didn't have to pay multiple-thousands of dollars to do it. Course I wasn't in an AWD F-Type at the time that pretty much drives itself. Nope. RWD, zero traction control, zero ABS, zero stability control, zero everything, (zero brains cuz I was a 15-yo punk).
People nowadays are pretty much sissies when it comes to some things. Technology makes people soft!

Even southern Wisconsin had frozen lakes to drive/slide on.

I have always enjoyed driving in the snow. I liked nothing better than going out in a new snow and spinning my car around in vacant parking lots. Rear wheel drive, no traction control is the way to do it. However, in Baton Rouge, those opportunities are few and far between.

This past winter was my first with an AWD car, and its a blast to take to a fresh snow empty parking lot. Traction control off, four wheels spinning, you can do slides and loops I’ve never done in a two wheel drive car (front or rear).
