Apologies if this has been posted many times before. Drivers side wing mirror started perishing, so bought another. Removing old was relatively simple, but when I went to install the new one - tragedy! I cracked it by applying too much pressure to the right hand side...
I have bought another..anyone got any tips before I go and do the same thing again?

Be more careful? Maybe a lot of tape on it to spread out the force...

 

I use a body shop suction cup for such jobs.
