I think the stock silver looks quite good, a hyper silver. I think on a grey car like yours, grey wheels would require JUST the right shade to not look washed out or just dirty wheels look to me. I'd go stock bright silver or a deliberate black, with preference on the silver.

The original silver, definitely. On the other hand, you could go with the current mania for black wheels. That way you never have to wash the wheels because they always look like they are completely covered in brake dust.

My two toys...jag wheels are dirty... Definitively i must keep stock silver....black could fit better on last XKR or XKR-S version ..because it's more racy..2007 version it's sporty but at same time classic.

Without seeing the last picture, it was hard for me to know which "grey" your car was. Was it silver grey or the dark grey, I wondered. Although my car is silver grey, when I decided to redo my wheels, I went from the hyper silver to black so that I didn't feel the need to wash my wheels everyday. Now I can do it every other day. I think the black would still look good on your color, leaving the rivet looking bolts silver and the lugnuts silver. Below is mine....

I consider my car to be grey, but it's not even in the same coliseum as what is called "grey" from Jaguar.
Mine's called "Pearl Metallic". Sure doesn't look like any pearl I'VE seen in my life.

I like dark gray like these.

I wanted mine darker but didn't want to pay the hefty price to get it done properly so I painted mine with Plastidip which is a rubberpaint I can peal off.

Whether it is my black A8 sedan or the Pearl Gray Jag, I prefer the contrast provided by a lighter wheel color against the dark body.

Same here! Maybe the brits call it p'Earl Grey?

For me the chrome wheels make it stand out more than any other color.

The Chrome is old school baller for a British car.
