LR4 (or Discovery for the rest of the world) with 5.0 V8 is the used Land Rover sweet spot. You get essentially a Range Rover sport with a different skin on it.

The 5.0L Disco 4 is very rare here in Australia, not many of them were delivered. Most LR4's are the 3.0L TDV6 and some 3.0L S/C V6.

You guys in the US never got the TDV8 in the Range Rovers, fantastic engines...

3.6L TDV8 was in the L320 Range Rover Sport
4.4L TDV8 in the L322 Vogue, and now in the new L494 RRS & L404 Vogue as well

The TDV8's in the older models were all high-spec vehicles too, with 4-piston Brembo's on the front, big wheels, lots of luxury options & so on.

Similarly, with a DB9:

Note the difference in roof line behind the door. I prefer the Jag - I think it flows better. Both were designed by Ian Callum. This DB9 has an aftermarket Mansory front bumper, which I think is ugly.

I know it's an old thread. I just noticed that the photo is missing. Here it is:

Just as nice inside. Old school traditional British wood and leather. It's not everyone's taste today, but it's classic.
