Last chance to replace water pump
To be honest, I don't know. I use an independent and the invoice just says water pump. The pump was replaced about 26 months and 5,000 miles ago. The car has done around 26,000 miles now.
I don't check the level very often (once or twice a year) but I usually have to top up around a centimeter.

UPDATE: As the OP of this thread, and after having my water pump replaced over a month ago, and driving my car more frequently than normal, I believe I have a successful water pump replacement! No more coolant smell.....and just as important, no loss of coolant whatsoever. I have the level measure precisely at the reservoir notch and it does not budge from that spot. Finally I can go for a drive without being concerned about the water pump. Only problem now is.......Who's driving anywhere these days???

Yes. That is the very latest water pump part number. AJ818909. After approximately 7-8 superseded water pump part numbers, that is the latest.
Reading all your coolant woes , I have had some experience with various Jag coolant problems. In mid 2019 my 2010 XF 5.0ltr developed a serious coolant leak. I could see the puddles under my car after a few minutes of running the engine. Took it to a friend who is a Porche , Audi specialist and at first looked like water pump. After further inspection he found it was a plastic crossover pipe. we replaced waterpump , thermostat (plastic housing) and all plastic coolant pipes and problem solved ...... then a month later my wifes 2013 XF 3.0 supercharged vehicle started to leave coolant puddles which got increasingly worse over a week. Same story off to my mechanic and this time it was evident that the rear crossover was leaking. ( two halves of a tube glued together ) as was the plastic pipe under the supercharger. He replaced all pipes , waterpump and thermostat and the problem was fixed. This Jag always had a coolant smell long before the leak . ..... As an avid Jag lover and a sucker for punishment I also have a 2014 F-type CV Base model which in Dec 2020 developed the same water leak and now my Mechanic is a Pro at these coolant issues and again we went through the whole deal with crossover, water pump etc. ( the new crossover pipes are one piece, ) My 2016 XF 3.0 (still under warranty) does have a slight coolant smell but has been checked every time i had it serviced at Jaguar and they say no leak .
After the 4 inspections of having the water pump weep hole inspected as well as the system pressurized, I got 4 "nothing wrong with your water pump" and no leaks found! It might very well be fine, and it could be a very small leak at a connection somewhere. I don't want to make matters worse. The water pump probably is not leaking or they would have found some residue somewhere. At this time, I may very well pass and not take the car in anymore. I don't want them putting their hands on my car as it runs perfectly other than the occasional few ounces I add each year. A very small price for owning a Jaguar.
As the OP of this thread, and after replacing my water pump under warranty over a year ago, I am keeping it alive, as I have a current coolant leak which the Jaguar dealership has identified as the front outlet pipe AJ89664 (goes under the intake manifold above water pump). My coolant leak seemed to have been resolved for a relatively short time after replacement. I currently have 13,000 miles. The current leak is more of a slight seepage at this time. I add a few ounces every few hundred miles. . As a previous member mentioned earlier on, (sorry for not remembering the name), it would have been a good idea to either wait until other plastic parts failed, or have the part replaced at the same time as the water pump. Well.....I did ask the service writer at the time of the water pump replacement, if there were any other suspect plastic parts that could be replaced. He told me that the warranty would not cover anything other than the water pump. Of course hindsight is 20/20 and if I knew at that time this outlet pipe was a common cause for leaks, I would have offered to pay the additional cost to have this pipe replaced. Since Jag wants close to $1200 to replace this pipe, I am keeping an eye on coolant level, knowing that my Indy will replace it for less than half that price. I've been reading that the rear crossover coolant pipe AJ814007 can be another source of leakage. It's probably prudent to change as many plastic parts as possible once the manifold is removed. No question that the cooling system can be one of the weaker links to Jaguar ownership.
