Hi

Can you share the part numbers for the new C, Y, and plastic bleeder parts?

Thanks

The Y part is no longer available, nor is the hard tube. They are replaced by a new design that has a thick rubber tube coming off the large coolant tube (C in graphic) thermostat to upper manifold. As my car is a daily driver who has put about 60k of the 120k miles on my XKR, I try to minimize unecessary downtime. As I do my almost all of my own mechanical work, I would definitely recommend at a minimum changing those parts (for about $100 US) and save yourself the extra hours of labor that will be needed when they deteriorate from the inside out simply due to age. The new design requires replacement of the large coolant tube and the Y part, but eliminates the brittle plastic tube, and you get a new plastic bleeder connection to plug into the coolant pump, which is another common failure point that will cause you to have to go to the new design.

OLD DESIGN - 5.0 S/C

NEW DESIGN - 5.0 S/C (you can just see the new grey colored "Y" part at the top of the picture.)

HOSE C2P13304

Thanks. Do you know why they replaced the last two parts? Were they leaking?

I bought Land Rover parts as they were cheaper; Several sites will provide cross reference numbers to Jaguar part numbers... The bleeder is included now on the large coolant down tube to the thermostat (P/N: RV-LR049989). The "Y" or arrow A in graphic is Throttle Body Heater hose (P/N: RV-LR045238) and the small outlet on it is now sealed and not used since the bleeder tube now connects to the down tube.

C2P13304 was cracked and leaking. From the description I believe that this hose is part of the oil cooling system.

Hey Ralph,
I had the same part replaced as well as my oil cooler which was also leaking. Fortunately, we took the old oil cooler off my original engine so I wasn't forced to buy a new one. How idoes Friday for lunch look?

Hey Ted - Fridays are not good for me. I usually play Bridge or do a family thing with one of the Grand kids. Any other day this week is good. Ralph

Would you happen to know what the Jaguar Part Number is for this hose on the supercharged versions? Thanks.
