Default Leaking hose replacement for unavailable part

I have a leaking rubber hose that goes from the bottom of the over flow tank to a metal cooling.
The 4” rubber hose is part of the metal line. Jaguar states it’s discontinued at a cost of $448!

I am inquiring if anyone has replaced this short rubber hose and what vehicle that rubber hose was originally made for or any info available.

This is the leaking rubber hose

This is Jag part and number

Think the part number is more than just that rubber piece, it includes the rest of the pipe too.
Not much help, but if you google the part number, you can find it for around $340 (like I said, not much help).

Yes it is the entire tubing and rubber hose. It’s crazy. I’m just looking for a fitment from another vehicle or some other option to replace that 4” rubber hose.

? its just a portion of a coolant hose. Why not just measure the diameter, walk into an auto parts supply shop and, replace it with a generic hose?
Myself, I’d walk into a marine supply as typically the hoses are better quality.

Thank you. Good idea. I’m not far from a marina.
I was just to find someone that bought ‘this and it fit perfectly’

An old well established auto parts store that has hoses hanging from the ceiling, is a good place to start. A hose used for the heater radiator (heater core) would be a smaller diameter. Marine hoses for Yanmar or Volvo Penta, should have one as well.

Yes, absurd that you would have to buy this whole assembly just for lack of a small hose. I replaced mine a while ago, using this scheme I posted few years ago. Note that this hose is of different diameters at either end, adding an extra dimension of "fun" to the project.

"...I got around this problem by using an old hot-rodder trick: find a smaller diameter hose that'll fit inside the larger diameter hose. It's a tight fit, and the clamp will further hold everything in place. I bought a hose at local parts store that had an assortment of various preformed bends (Dayco(?) / Davco(?) part number 8783(7) and cut out the suitable bend section that I needed, then jammed the smaller diameter hose in the appropriate end. Clamped down, and lasts to this day."

I woke up at 4 am this morning thinking the same process. Thank you for validating my thoughts. There is a hose shop in York by me that I’m hoping can get or have the processing equipment to make me a hose of the different diameter. The length is also a restrictive factor.

but again thank you.

It's the same stupid marketing technic as for the plenum rubbers.

I would suggest you just swipe it for any good silicone tunning tubbing as we all made for our plenums.
You can find any size on amazon or ebay or if you have a local tunning shop.

Y'know...I wouldn't have thought about using a heat gun to "stretch" the hose. Great idea and fix!!!
