Light Protection

Light Protection
Several months ago, I installed a set of Adamesh LED fog lights and wired them as DRLs. Over the weekend, I realized that the lens on one of the lights was broken, even though the lights still work(for now).
I contacted Adamesh about possible solutions. They responded VERY quickly offering to sell me just one of the lights as they don't have just the lens. Given the shipping cost from UK to US, I will probably go ahead and order a new pair, just in case.
Anyway, they also suggested "surface protection film" as a possible protection against small objects that might crack new lens. So, finally, my question.
Does anyone here have any experience/recommendation with this type of film for headlights/fog lights?
Thanks

Any film shield will protect, but no guarantees against cracks if large rocks strike the fog light lens.
