I've only had my 2000 XKR for 3 months and got a rude surprise today. I stepped out of the car for a second... left the key in the ignition and the car running... made sure the doors were unlocked... then closed the door. The doors locked automatically with the car still running. Yes, I know you should never do this, but I did and got locked out. Does anyone know of a way to prevent the doors from locking automatically IF this ever happens again.

 

I did not think that the car would lock until it was put in gear. I must assume you do nor have another key.
