Default Looking For A Picture of a Silver XKR With Black Rims

I saw a white XKR today with gloss black rims and I thought it looked really good. Does anyone have a picture of silver XKR with black rims? Mine have some curb damage and I'm going to get them powder coated. I'm not sure if I should stay with silver or change to something different.

Have a look at the pics in this thread (c j's post from 4/9/03). It looks good, I think. I'm thinking of the same thing myself, I've already got the black grills coming over from Mina as part of the overall conversion.https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ncluded-93315/

I saw that one, but I would like a side view. I think I'm going to paint my grill black also, or maybe use that new plastic coating. I think it's called plastidip or something like that.

robertg,
Here are a couple of my 2010 XKR at the track a couple of months ago. They are gloss black Kalimnos (although after a day of racing they have enough dust on them to look matte). Hope this helps. Later today, I can take some pictures of it standing still and post.

robertg,
I finally had a chance to wash and photograph my wheels against my silver 2010XKR. I hope this helps in your decision. Sorry it took a few days, I've just been so crazy with work.

Thanks for the pictures, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I think black wheels look better on a coupe than a convert.

Tberg is your XK lowered? H&R springs?

Lothar,
I did not lower it, and I'm not sure if the previous owner did or not. I tend to think not. However, it does look lower than stock but that may be the optical illusion created by the side skirts. And with that little Mina front lip, I have to be very careful going up driveways and traversing dips in the road, because it is definitely low at the front.

I did the black wheels and painted the grills black with Plastidip.
